Last friday was the “Elektro” premier party european tour kick off at Subway Club, Cologne, Germany. I rolled with Vera to the premier and It was crazy good times. These kids know how to party, for real. I shot video and my buddy Jon edited this little number together in one day.

I left San Diego last wednesday and 17 hours later I arrived at Vera’s pad on Thursday evening. The next night we drove into Cologne for the Elektro video premier party. I saw the sunrise twice this past weekend. Germans party hard.

A couple weeks ago, we did a little lifestyle photoshoot out in Julian with Melissa. My good friend and ridiculously awesome photographer Dan Coronado took photos and me and my buddy Mike Jines shot some video. The weather was weird that day — it went from sunny and warm to thuderstormy and cloudy and then there was a rainbow…a little crazy for an outdoor shoot but we made the best of it.

Anyway, on Friday night I rolled up to LA with my friend Julie for a fun filled evening of stunna shades and dancing. It was my homeboy Jonny V’s bday weekend so we met up with his crew from long beach in downtown LA, where Chromeo played at Club 740. Being the wise and responsible adults we are now, we got a hotel room because you don’t have to be a genius to figure out that you can get about 20 hotel rooms for the price of one DUI. On a quick sidenote, while searching for a hotel in downtown LA I came across the most hilarious hotel review I’ve ever seen on tripadvisor: here are the highlights:

Anyway, so we ended up getting a room at the Westin downtown, no complaints for 80 bucks. Inside the lobby is a mini mall with a mini food court area with a mini offering of edible cuisine. Unfortunately we had no real choice but to eat here since getting in a car to go anywhere in LA at 5:30pm on a friday is a guaranteed horrible idea.

After feasting on our gourmet meals, we met up with the rest of the party posse and began the celebration.
The show was amazing. Something about Chromeo just gets your limbs moving…well Chromeo and a bottle of patron. If you ever get a chance to see them, you will not be disappointed.

It’s October people. This is right about the time that we all start to get excited for snowboarding season. Summer is gone (even though it’s always summer in Southern California) and we all start to get that itch. Some years we have to go through the excruciating pain of a late winter where snow doesn’t even fall until mid to late January but other years we are blessed by mother nature with early snowfall and blissful pow runs sometimes as early as Thanksgiving. Well, with global warming it seems as though the weather patterns just get crazier every year. Last year I rode powder and took tree runs at Big Bear, which is pretty much unheard of. We also had 80 degree beach days in SD in January…crazy! Well, whatever this season holds, it’s looking promising…very promising. See for yourself below. My friend Lisa has a cabin out in Kirkwood in Tahoe and went out there to enjoy some fall weather when she woke up Sunday morning to 6 inches of snow. WOOOOHOOOOO!!!
